Alex Mason is a Partner at Method Consulting and a chartered Construction Manager with over 15 years’ experience as a professional in the Built Environment.
Leading our Digital Engineering team and the BIM processes used across the business, Alex utilises his experience and knowledge to ensure Method continue to deliver successful BIM projects with household name firms and clients.
Alex is involved in projects at all phases – from concept to construction. He leads on Methods internal management of project modelling workflows, developing efficiencies through utilisation of inhouse digital tools and processes and continually expanding the capabilities of Method and its staff to incorporate BIM.
His knowledge and skills helped Method to achieve BIM Accreditation in 2018.
Antony Bursey is a Partner at Method Consulting with over 20 years of experience in developing integrated low-energy and sustainability strategies for buildings and developments and in the application of renewable energy.
Antony particularly enjoys working with architects and designers in closely integrating engineering services with the building fabric and in producing innovative and creative solutions to difficult engineering problems.
Barry is a Partner and Building Services Engineer with a Masters degree in Building Services Engineering. He has experience in leading the M&E design across a variety of sectors including education, residential, healthcare, defence and commercial development sectors. This includes designs from pre-planning to completion for a variety of clients including private clients, healthcare trusts, County Councils, developers and contractors.
Emily Runacres is a Partner and Sustainability Consultant, a Practitioner member of IEMA, and specialist BREEAM assessor and AP, with a Master’s degree in Geography. She is highly experienced in working in the sustainability field and enjoys providing sustainability advice and assessment throughout the whole life cycle of a project.
She provides strategic renewable energy and sustainability advice as part of the planning process, as well as BREEAM assessment services at design and post-construction stages. She has experience across a wide range of projects including schools, residential developments, leisure facilities and commercial units and is involved in embodied carbon LCA modelling.
Gordon Macmillan is a Partner at Method Consulting and has over 20 years of experience in engineering and design. He is a Chartered Building Services Engineer and specialises in low-energy sustainable building design, the conservation of historic buildings, and renewable energy. He is also a Certified Passivhaus Consultant.
Gordon is highly effective at engaging with architects and project teams to ensure that early involvement, an intelligent approach to design, and close attention to detail ensure a well-coordinated and successful outcome, with delighted clients.
Kimberley Mason is a Partner and an Engineer, with a degree in Civil Engineering and an MSc in Architecture Engineering: Environmental Design. Kimberley heads up the Building Physics and Performance Engineering group, who work on optimising the Building Performance of a wide range of projects, providing intelligent advice for meeting various sustainability and low carbon targets. She works on a varied range of assessments, from large scale residential overheating analyses to operational energy assessments in line with London Plan or NABERS, with sustainability at the core of all work her team does.
With a deep passion for the environment, both natural and built, Kimberley aims to help reduce the negative environmental impact of buildings by assisting designs in becoming more sustainable, low energy and low carbon, while benefitting both the environment and the building’s occupants. She has a particular interest in innovative, “green” and passive design strategies, and is a Certified Passivhaus Consultant.
Lisa Kendall is Method Consulting’s Partner responsible for Business Administration and Finance and is involved across all areas of the business.
She has over 20 years’ experience in the engineering industry and specialises in finance, business systems, and general office management. Lisa also successfully implemented and maintains our ISO 9001 accreditation.
Matt Smith leads Method Consulting’s Bristol office and is a Chartered Building Services Engineer with over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry. He has a proven track record of successfully delivering the design of both large- and small-scale building projects, against challenging cost and programme constraints, to the satisfaction of clients.
Matt has a passion for sustainability through best practice in design and specification, particularly through retrofit and reuse to drive down both embodied and operational carbon in the built environment.
Matt’s experience is wide ranging across a number of market sectors and geographic regions, with particular strength in the design of commercial offices and residential led developments.
Natasha Fox is a Partner at Method Consulting, a Chartered Environmentalist and a highly experienced Sustainability Specialist. As the leader of the Sustainability group, she is responsible for leading projects through both the planning stages and through the life of the project, with a particular interest in post-occupancy evaluation.
Natasha has been a sustainability assessor for many years, qualified in BREEAM, SKA, DREAM, HQM and WELL. She is a BREEAM AP, WELL AP, MEI, MIEMA and is responsible for Method’s ISO 14001 certification. Natasha is also an experienced Fitwel Ambassador and a Certified Passivhaus Consultant.
Having worked on a wide variety of projects including education, large-scale residential schemes, heritage, commercial, and domestic buildings, Natasha advises on the importance of embedding sustainability into building design as a matter of course. Natasha undertook an MSc in Sustainable Building Performance & Design, with the focus on low carbon design and building physics, to further enhance her energy sustainability expertise.
Natasha’s current interests lie in strategic sustainability development of the organisation in relation to wider environmental trends, embedding soft landings into project processes and leading our action plan relating to the climate emergency.
Nick Sendall is a Partner and Building Services Engineer and is chartered with the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
Nick has worked on a wide variety of projects including leisure, higher education, performing arts buildings and high technology research laboratories. He has worked on both traditional projects and also on design and build projects and so knows how to drive best value into them whilst maintaining high standards.
Nick specialises in designing low energy buildings by understanding building energy demands and how to minimise them through efficient building design such as designing intelligently controlled passive and natural ventilation systems and also the integration of renewable energy technologies. He also has a firm knowledge of the technologies and the available government subsidy schemes.
Tom Kelly is a Partner at Method and a member of CIBSE.
Tom leads our Cornwall Office and has significant experience delivering projects in the Devon & Cornwall region across a range of sectors. He has particular expertise in the education, office, residential, industrial & research sectors.
Tom enjoys driving the principles of sustainability into projects in a simple, cost-effective way, such that all projects do their bit in reducing their climate impact.
Abbie Rees is a Junior Administrator and provides general administration support to the wider team.
Ben Perrigo works as a Project CAD Technician producing drawings for the engineering team with a thorough attentiveness for detail. He has previous project planning experience, having taken part in the REME craftsman cup challenge and draws from this experience to ensure he knows what details need attention and how to manage his time efficiently.
Having studied at the UTC in Swindon and Bath College, he has a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma and a Pearson BTEC Level 4 Higher National Certificate. It was during his studies in college that he grew a fondness for Design/CAD.
Alice Bush is a Building Services Engineer with a BSc in Physics from the University of Warwick. Alice has a keen interest in global sustainability, climate change and environmental physics, along with a passion for learning about renewable energy options for the future and the design/development of new technologies that will achieve these goals.
Ben Prescott is a Project Revit Technician at Method Consulting and co-ordinates closely with others to provide the efficient delivery of detailed 2D CAD drawings for the engineering team. Ben is a highly proficient draftsman and helps champion standards and quality of work within the team.
Alice is a Sustainability Consultant with a Bachelors degree in Geography from Bangor University, and a Masters degree in Sustainability Planning and Environmental Policy from Cardiff University.
Alice works on various BREEAM projects including new builds, refurbishments and BREEAM Communities projects. Alice is also able to undertake LCA IMPACT modelling using OneClick LCA and hopes to learn more about embodied carbon as she progresses her career.
Bryony is an Engineer with a Degree in Physics from the University of Warwick with a passion for Physics and sustainability, specifically renewable energy.
Amelia Gerrish is a CAD Technician at Method Consulting.
Before joining the team at Method she spent two years at college gaining her BTEC Extended Diploma in Art & Design; studying textiles, fine art, printing, ceramics and photography.
Carter is a Sustainability Consultant at Method with a BSc Geography degree from Lancaster University. Primarily focused on BREEAM projects for both new builds and refurbishments, Carter has a particular interest in the interdependent nature of people and their built environment. Through his experience, Carter has developed a keen eye with respect to how energy demands can be influenced and achieved sustainably and aspires to further this understanding alongside his career.
Charlotte is a Senior Consultant at Method Consulting with a Master’s degree in Environmental Science. Charlotte is a BREEAM Accredited Professional and an experienced BREEAM assessor, with involvement on a range of projects in the education, healthcare, industrial, commercial and residential sectors. Charlotte is involved with LCA IMPACT materials modelling and is also qualified to carry out SAP calculations and produce EPCs for new build or refurbished domestic buildings as an On Construction Domestic Energy Assessor.
Charlotte is a Practitioner member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (PIEMA).
Chloe is an experienced CAD technician and her primary role is to produce CAD drawings for the team.
Christopher is an Engineer in the Building Physics and Performance Engineering team, with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Upon completion, he realised his interests lay in the built environment and sustainability, and therefore undertook a master’s degree in architectural engineering design. Throughout his studies he gained experience using various design and simulation software in both a mechanical and civil context. His passions lie in reducing the energy and carbon required in the operation of buildings using passive design strategies
Dan Stretton is an associate Engineer at Method Consulting with an MSc in Building Services Engineering with Sustainable Energy. He is a Chartered Building Services Engineer with CIBSE and specialises in designing low-energy sustainable solutions for new and existing buildings in a variety of sectors. Dan is also a certified RESET air assessor and provides advice on methods to maximise air quality through passive and/or mechanical ventilation.
Dan enjoys working closely with project teams to deliver quality, sustainable developments in-line with programme and budget constraints, finding innovative and creative solutions to difficult engineering problems.
Damian Poyzer is an Associate Consultant at Method Consuting with over twenty years’ experience in the environmental consultancy sector, developing from environmental management and education over a range of business sectors to specialise in sustainable buildings and energy performance.
Eleanor Hoey is a Chartered Engineer with a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brunel University.
Eleanor specialises in designing and coordinating the M&E services in the education sector and has worked in a variety of other sectors including, leisure, commercial and public buildings. Eleanor enjoys problem solving and coordinating services, whilst also paying close attention to the aesthetics of the design. She has a particular passion for low-energy and zero carbon designs.
Elijah Davidson is a Building Services and Environmental Engineer with an MEng degree in Renewable Energy Engineering from the University of Exeter. He is part of the M&E team and is keen to apply his knowledge of renewable energy systems toward sustainable building design and develop his knowledge in all areas of building services. He currently works on projects at various stages of planning and is working towards becoming a chartered engineer with IMechE.
George is a Sustainability Consultant at Method Consulting with a B.Sc. in Geography from the University of Manchester. George is focussing on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) modelling for both BREEAM and whole life carbon analysis.
Glen Bateman is a Senior CAD Technician and has been with Method for over ten years. He works closely with the team to assist with the design of many low-energy and low-carbon buildings, with his primary role being to produce CAD drawings for the team.
Glen has a good understanding of internal and external lighting designs and also contributes to the design and calculations for the team.
Emily McKinlay is Method Consulting’s Office Administrator and provides general administration support to the wider team.
She has completed a Level 3 apprenticeship in Business Administration, and is an integral part of the team.
Jacob Martin is an Engineer in the Building Physics and Performance Engineering team, with a BEng degree in Architecture and Environmental Engineering. Jacob has experience working on the sustainable design of refrigeration systems such as clean rooms. Although Jacobs professional career is just beginning, he is a keen and competent individual with a particular interest in reducing the energy consumption of a building through the implementation of passive design measures.
Jacob enjoys being part of a collaborative and proactive team, and strives to go the extra mile.
Joseph is our year in Industry Student and is currently studying for an MEng in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bristol.
Lewis Jones is a Chartered Engineer with a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Lewis has worked on a broad range of projects including heritage, educational, residential and industrial projects and he enjoys the challenge of working with design teams to find bespoke solutions to meet the unique demands and requirements that each new project presents. He has a particular passion for sustainably driven design.
Lewis Richards is an engineer at Method, having graduated from Loughborough University with a BEng in Materials Engineering.
Lewis has experience in the aerospace industry and a keen interest in sustainability and sustainable building design. He is enjoying developing his skills in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, looking towards studying for a master’s degree, with the eventual aim of becoming a Chartered Engineer.
Luke Southern is a Revit Technician for our Bristol Office.
Maria is an Engineer in the Building Physics and Performance Engineering team, with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s in Sustainable Energy Engineering from the University of Nottingham. She is passionate about sustainability and reducing the environmental impact in the built environment through energy efficiency and passive design measures.
Martha Parkinson is a Senior Project Engineer with a Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College London. With previous experience in computational fluid dynamics modelling of the urban environment, she is using her skills to assist in sustainable, low-energy and low-carbon design of new and existing developments. She is currently working towards her chartership with IMechE.
Matthew Walley is an Engineer with a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering obtained from Bath University.
Matt Perring is a Senior Associate Building Services Engineer at Method Consulting and is chartered with the Institute of Mechanical Engineers. He has worked on large and small-scale projects across a range of sectors including commercial office, residential, hotel and retail. He has also worked on a number of international developments in Europe and the Middle East.
Matt has a particular interest in the refurbishment of existing buildings and a wide knowledge of sustainable building technologies. He enjoys working closely with project teams towards delivering quality developments against challenging timescales and cost constraints.
Matthew Haugh is an Engineer with a degree in MEng Mechanical Engineering obtained from the University of Leeds.
Miguel is a Project Revit Technician with a degree in Architectural Technology from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and has experience of working on a range of small and large projects within predominately the healthcare, offices and retail sectors.
He has a keen interest in new technology and is interested in how the development of new standards will push environmental change.
Miles is a Sustainability Consultant and works alongside Grace focussing on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) modelling for both BREEAM purposes and whole life carbon analysis. Miles has a MSc in Environmental Assessment and Management from the University of Liverpool, and a BA (Hons) Politics With International Relations from the University of York.
Oliver works as a Revit Technician in our Building Information and Modelling (BIM) department.
Having studied at Cirencester College, he has a BTEC Level 3 in engineering.
Oliver is an engineer for Method, having graduated from the University of Birmingham with an MEng in Mechanical Engineering.
Oliver found topics with a sustainable focus the most enjoyable, and became interested in building services as a place to apply this knowledge after his Master’s project on a new building at his university campus.
Oliver Read is a Project CAD technician working within Method Consulting’s engineering team on various projects.
Before joining the team, he studied at UTC College Swindon completing a BTEC Level 3 in Engineering and IT subsidiary and has since completed a Level 4 HNC in building services at Bath College.
Paul Mulquiney is an Associate at Method Consulting with extensive experience in the provision of building services for virtually all building types, including education, residential, healthcare, defence and commercial developments. He has worked on all sizes of project, from small-scale fit-outs to large development projects of up to £250m, and all stages from conceptual design through to commissioning on site.
He has specialised in Mechanical Services Design and Project Management of building services in large healthcare developments. Paul is particularly adept at identifying the requirements of clients and architects and taking a whole-of-project approach to provide workable solutions which are practical, cost-effective and optimise the space available to the project.
Rebecca Ross is Method Consulting’s business development and marketing coordinator and manages marketing as well as providing bid support. She also looks after all recruitment.
An experienced marketing professional, she has over 20 years’ experience in her field, primarily based within the electronics/technology industry.
Ritu Sengupta is a Project Engineer in the Building Physics and Performance Engineering team and has an Architectural Technology bachelor’s degree and a Masters in Sustainability Building Design.
Ritu has a keen interest in the design of energy conscious and futureproof architecture with a reduced environmental impact. She particularly enjoys working within a collaborative team and continually strives to achieve outstanding results for the company and clients.
Ritu has worked on sustainability and energy issues on a range of large-scale health, residential and education projects.
Ross MacGregor is a Senior Sustainability Consultant at Method Consulting, with a degree in Physical Geography. He works in the Energy and Sustainability team as an energy assessor and BREEAM and HQM consultant.
Ross has a particular interest in the integration of renewable energy systems into buildings and is qualified to carry out SAP calculations and produce EPCs for new build or refurbished domestic buildings as an On Construction Domestic Energy Assessor.
Ricky Jardim is an Engineer with a Masters Degree in Physics with Education from the University of Liverpool. Having enjoyed the more applied aspects of his degree and collaborating in multi-skilled teams, he has joined the Method team to develop his knowledge in all areas of sustainable building design.
He currently works on projects at different stages of their planning across various sectors and looks forward to pursuing chartership.
Sam Winter is a Senior HR Advisor and provides HR and administration support to all members of our team. Sam has vast experience in client interaction, team working and day-to-day administration. Sam is also an Associate member of CIPD and works closely with our Office Manager. She is an integral member of our team.
Steffan is an Engineer at Method Consulting, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bath.
He is a part of the M&E team and is developing his skills by gaining experience across a variety of different projects at Method. He is keen on reducing environmental impact by applying sustainable engineering design to his work.
Stephen Todd is a Senior Engineer at Method Consulting, with a passion for using passive and low-energy design strategies to reduce energy usage within a building, whilst also improving thermal conditions for its occupants. Stephen has a Master’s degree in Designing Sustainable Buildings and a PhD in Designing Naturally Ventilated Buildings.
He is also level 3, 4 and 5 accredited in Building Simulation Software IES and is an LCEA assessor. Stephen works on a variety of projects including the residential, education, healthcare and leisure sectors.
Tom Gerrish is Revit Coordinator at Method Consulting, with experience in building services, 3D computer modelling and working with the team to co-ordinate and design many low energy and low carbon buildings. Tom is a highly proficient draughtsman in the use of CAD, is experienced in delivering projects collaboratively in accordance with the UK Government’s Level 2 BIM processes, and is a BRE-accredited BIM member.
Tom oversees development of our BIM and CAD processes to ensure Method Consulting maintains its high standards and quality of work across the drafting and building services 3D modelling teams.
Tom Hope is a Project Revit Technician for Method Consulting’s Bristol office. He is an accomplished draughtsman and is highly experienced in using AutoCAD, and more recently Revit, to produce relevant drawings and models for projects.
With over 20 years’ M&E building services experience gained both within an office and on site, Tom has worked on many types of projects within the residential, industrial, retail and education sectors.
Tom is a Consultant at Method Consulting with a Master’s degree in Environmental Science. Tom is an experienced BREEAM assessor, as well as a BREEAM Accredited Professional, and has experience on a range of new build projects including extra care schemes and commercial developments. Of particular importance to BREEAM New Construction 2018, Tom also conducts LCA IMPACT modelling for projects and is also qualified to undertake SAP calculations and produce EPCs for new build domestic dwellings as a Domestic On Construction Energy Assessor.
His recent focus has been on the production of Embodied Carbon reports, to quantify the Upfront and Embodied Carbon figures for buildings.
Vinutha is an Engineer in the Building Physics and Performance Engineering team, with a MSc in Modern Building Design from the University of Bath. Prior to this she achieved a MA in Architecture from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne. Vinutha is proficient in the use of IES-VE, has a keen interest in Low Carbon Design and is in the process of becoming a BREEAM AP.
Zayd Neseyif is a Building Services Engineer with a Masters of Mechanical Engineering from Swansea University.
He is working towards becoming a Chartered Engineer and has a keen interest in sustainable engineering and offshore energy solutions.
