What we do
We provide a wide ranging technical consultancy service with sustainability at the heart of the design process, including:
Developing low energy building design strategies in conjunction with architects and structural engineers
Providing advice on sustainability, BREEAM and building physics
Building services engineering including lighting, power and water systems design with a strong emphasis on reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions
Advising clients on integrating renewable energy technologies into buildings to provide sustainable energy
Working with contractors on site to ensure that design concepts are correctly implemented and constructed
Using latest dynamic simulation software as part of energy, CO2, thermal and daylight analysis
What you can expect from us
Our graduate training is intensive and we recruit graduates from a range of Universities. As soon as you join, you will be assigned a mentor who will guide you through your roles and responsibilities, your learning is rapid with responsibility encouraged at an early stage.
Everyone’s training is individual and tailored to their strengths and weaknesses, with support provided throughout each stage of their career. You will be encouraged to develop your qualifications and become affiliated with an accredited institution such as CIBSE, IMechE, IET or the Energy Institute and our training programme supports this.
We can offer a fun, inclusive, relaxed, and friendly working environment and understand the need to work flexibly, with hybrid working offered as standard.
What are we looking for
You should have a passion for sustainable building design and reducing the carbon emissions of the built environment
An appreciation of sustainability, renewable energy technologies, thermodynamics and energy systems are essential
You should be a team player capable of working in a multi-discipline team
Have the ability to manage and prioritise own workload to meet deadlines
Good communication skills
Excellent organisational skills
A full driving licence (preferable)
Qualifications
For an Engineering role: Degree in Physical Sciences or any Engineering discipline
For a Building Physics role: Degree in Building Physics, Architectural Engineering: Environmental Design of buildings or similar
For a Sustainability Consultant role: Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability or Energy related discipline
