Net Zero is a challenging target for the UK construction industry.

As building services engineers, we well understand the impact the built environment can have on our planet.

To help reduce this impact, we are fully committed to working alongside other engineers, consultants and architects to implement measures that not only address operational energy and embodied carbon issues but also aim to combat climate change as a whole.

We do this through close collaboration between our M&E engineers and our energy modeling team, who can advise on all aspects of building and energy modeling, climate change and building comfort levels.

Together, we determine the building services solutions that will best reduce a client’s energy consumption and carbon emissions.


Sustainability – at the core of our company

Sustainable principles are already at the core of our services – and as signatories of the Building Services Declare for the Climate Emergency we hve a lot of experience of helping clients bring to life their Net Zero ambitions.

The London Energy Transformation Initiative (LETI) and UK Green Building Council (UKGBC) defines a net zero carbon building as one that achieves the operational net zero requirements in-use, as well as assessing and reducing the impacts of upfront Embodied Carbon emissions in line with current best practice targets.

To meet either of these standards, it is important not only to consider the operational carbon emissions of a building (the carbon associated with running the building) but also the Embodied Carbon of the materials used in the building’s construction.

Net zero is a challenging target for the UK construction industry and we are excited to offer net zero carbon consultancy services, addressing operational energy and embodied carbon using the RICS Whole Life Carbon approach with recognised software and thorough analysis.
