The Maine Biological Association is located in Plymouth’s historic Citadel Laboratory complex. The laboratories are undergoing extensive remodelling and modernisation into Containment Level 2 labs.

The project is spread across several phases and the building will remain live and in use throughout for marine focused academic research and experimentation. Condition surveys and backlog maintenance reporting is a key component in this project in order to minimise expenditure beyond the particular phase boundary being developed and to avoid prejudicing future phases with potentially abortive work undertaken in previous phases.
Method are providing a fully comprehensive service including M&E design services, sustainability advice and BREEAM assessment to Excellent standard, as well as condition surveys and backlog maintenance reporting.
