Thames Hospice, Windsor
Thames Hospice is a new-build, 28 bed hospice and hospice office headquarters in an environmentally sensitive location by Bray Lake in Windsor.
Method Consulting delivered a full suite of M&E services tailored to the specialist healthcare environment, including medical gases, nurse call systems, underfloor heating, and air conditioning. Each system was designed with careful consideration for the unique needs of hospice patients and the operational requirements of the facility.
The office headquarters benefit from a low-temperature hot water (LTHW) heating system and a naturally ventilated design, developed through close collaboration with the wider design team to effectively manage overheating. A high-quality, cohesive lighting strategy was implemented throughout the building, enhancing the atmosphere across a diverse range of spaces while maintaining elegance and functionality.
