North Quay House has undergone a transformative redevelopment. Originally a five-storey, 25,000 sq ft office building, it has been extensively remodelled and expanded with a new four-storey extension. This has introduced a striking double-height reception area and significantly enhanced the building’s capacity and functionality. The refurbishment aligns with British Council for Offices (BCO) standards, delivering high quality modern office accommodation designed to meet the evolving needs of contemporary businesses.
A strong emphasis has been placed on sustainability and user wellbeing throughout the project, the upgraded facilities include communal cycle storage, showers, changing rooms, and wellness amenities accessible to all building users.
The design prioritises both embodied and operational carbon reduction and embraces circular economy principles, integrating renewable energy technologies, and supporting active travel through thoughtfully designed infrastructure.
Our specialists undertook the CIBSE TM54 analysis and RICS compliant embodied carbon analysis to help the team quantify the overall carbon emissions. We also undertook the necessary LCA modelling for BREEAM RFO Mat01.
The project is on target to achieve a BREEAM Outstanding rating.
