Environmental Policy Statement

Method Consulting LLP is committed to leading the industry in minimising the impact of its activities on the environment. This statement confirms Method’s commitment to continuous improvement in managing environmental issues.

Some of the many Environmental Regulations that we have considered include:-

Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011
The Hazardous Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2005
Environmental Protection (Duty of Care) Regulations 1991
The Environment Act 1990
The Control of Pollution (Amendment) Act 1989
The key points of its strategy to achieve this are:

Reduce the environmental impact of buildings through sustainable design and advice, in our capability as building services engineers and sustainability consultants
Minimise operational waste by evaluating operations and ensuring they are as efficient as possible.
Monitor all forms of waste and set targets for minimising waste sent to landfill.
Actively promote recycling both internally and amongst customers and suppliers.
Meet or exceed all relevant environmental legislation.
Aim to reduce energy use from company operations.
Raise awareness and train all members of staff in the company’s impact on the environment and enlist support in improving performance.
Implement an environmental purchasing policy for all products and services acquired.
Encourage the use of sustainable travel.
Measure, report and set targets for improvement on environmental performance annually.

This policy statement shall be reviewed annually by the partners of Method Consulting LLP.

MC_Health and safety

Health and Safety Policy Summary

As employers it is our responsibility to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare at work of our employees. Without prejudice to the generality of that duty, our statement of general policy is:

To provide and maintain a working environment for employees that is, so far as is reasonably practicable, safe, without risks to health and adequate as regards facilities and arrangements for their welfare at work;
To consult with our employees on matters affecting health and safety and to encourage the full co-operation and support of all employees
To provide and maintain plant and equipment that are, so far as is reasonably practicable, safe and without risks to health;
To make arrangements for ensuring, so far as is reasonably practicable, safety and absence of risks to health in connection with the use, handling, storage and transport of articles and substances;
To provide information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health and safety at work of employees;

To ensure all employees are competent to do their tasks, and give them adequate training;
To prevent accidents and cases of work-related ill health;
To maintain safe and healthy working conditions at any place of work under the employer’s control, in a condition that is safe and without risks to health and the provision and maintenance of means of access to and egress from it that are safe and without risks, as far as is reasonably practicable; and
To review and revise this policy as necessary at regular intervals.

The general duties stated above extend to all employees in the course of their work. The employer is also under a duty to conduct the undertaking in such a way as to ensure, again so far as is reasonably practicable, that people not in employment who may be affected by the undertaking are not exposed to risks to their health and safety. In other words, every employer and every self-employed person must take the general public into account in determining their health and safety problems and measures.

Modern Slavery Act 2015 Policy and Statement

Method Consulting LLP hereby confirms that the Partnership complies with all the requirements of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Method Consulting LLP is committed to the highest level of ethical standards and sound governance arrangements and sets high standards of impartiality, integrity and objectivity.

Method Consulting LLP adopts zero tolerance to corruption and bribery and this policy is endorsed by our Partners.

Method Consulting LLP fully supports the government’s objectives to eradicate modern slavery and human trafficking.

Our annual statement will provide information to supplement this policy, including details of our activities and supply chains and actions we are taking to support government.

We call upon all organisations we engage with to influence their global supply chains by improving transparency and accountability; and together we can help the government eradicate the injustice and brutality of modern slavery and human trafficking.

This Policy takes into account, and supports, the policies, procedures and requirements documented in our Management System, compliant with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015.

This policy applies to all those employed by Method Consulting LLP.
