Method are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior/Senior CAD Technician to join our friendly growing team.

Working closely with our M&E, Building Physics and Sustainability teams, you will be based at our Cornwall office which has good travel links to London, Bristol and Bath, with easy access to surrounding towns and villages across Cornwall and the beautiful countryside in adjoining counties such as Exmoor and Dartmoor.

Method operates a hybrid working policy so this will be a blend of the office and working remotely.

Salary range: Depending on experience

Role and Responsibilities

  • Setting up drawings for engineers

  • Creating & updating external reference drawings

  • Creating & updating Mechanical & Electrical drawings from engineers’ markups (Plans, layouts, elevations, schematics and details)

  • Creating blocks for project use

  • Assisting with Revit modelling requirements

  • Document control

  • Working closely with the BIM Manager to assist with everyday tasks and deadlines

Experience and Qualifications

  • GCSE’s at grade C or Higher. (Maths & Sciences B) – DT would also be an advantage

  • Experience in CAD: AutoCAD 2D Essentials level 2 City & Guilds or equivalent (would be helpful but it is not necessary – full training can be given)

  • An interest in the construction industry, computers and IT and a willingness to learn new skills

  • Good communication skills

  • Excellent organisational skills

  • The ability to manage and prioritise own workload to meet deadlines


To meet with current legislation, at the time of starting their employment, the successful candidate must have permission to work in the UK.

We are currently unable to support candidates with a Tier 2 Visa or those requiring sponsorship to work here.
