Mulberry UTC is a new 14-19 co-educational school for which Method has been appointed as BREEAM consultants for the development of the college. It is a new-build and is being designed to strike a balance between being an education facility and performance venue, with a focus on creative media, healthcare and production arts. A minimum BREEAM target rating of Excellent is required, which the project is currently on track to achieve, despite restrictive funding limits and a tight site. We have played a significant role in identifying where cost savings could be made, whilst still achieving the target number of credits in order to gain the BREEAM Excellent rating. This required an extensive understanding of the detailed requirements behind each credit and explaining this to the team in a comprehensive manner.
